Bon Voyage

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Thats it. after secondary school, after pre-u studies its time everyone leaves to pursue and keep each and every of their dreams alive. everyone gets really busy when MOHE releases the UPU results. some were happy some were not. whatever it is, everyone are going on with their own path to succeed. its kinda freaking when suddenly everyone arounds you are scattered around Malaysia. 5% left yesterday, 25% are leaving today and 69% are leaving tomorrow. but its really cool to have a farewell party just before everyone leaves. thanks to willy and his gang for a wonderful party on thursday. at least those leaving on plane still manage to come and join in the fun. lots of photos were taken that day. lots of wishes and hugs. updating phone numbers and exchanging email and msn addresses. i think thats the best present for those leaving their growing-up friends and their growing-up town. at the very least, everyone can still be in touch. just a day before, we went for dinner with a few close friends. had lots of fun. maybe thats the last because its going to be hard for everyone to gather around for another sumptious dinner. the last thing before we leave the restaurant -> CHEERS! sent off a few friends at the bus station yesterday night. its so heart-warming when you see their family members rush from where they were just to give them their last wishes. they should be proud of them. its heart-warming but its kinda sad though. Thats it. All the best to everyone in your future undertakings.
As for me, i’ve finally made up my mind. giving up Malaya University for University College Sedaya International to pursue a degree in pharmacy. its going to be a tough one but with dogged perseverance, im determined. its time for me to get ready as im leaving in days time. Im one of the 1% left in town after sunday. All the best to myself and im really looking forward for another round of CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adios~

A or B

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

Its time to make decisions. its not about choosing shirts to match my shoes or to decide where should i spend my weekend. its between University Malaya and University College Sedaya International. one offered me biological science degree and the other offered me degree in pharmacy.
Its so HARD to choose that after almost a week the upu results was annouced, i cant figure out an answer for myself. most of my friends are packing their stuff ready for uni but i am still dilly-dallying like nobody’s business. its a tough choice to make and its going to determine what my future gonna be. taking a wrong step now will lead my future to jeopardy.
Everyone is congratulating me for getting into UM but i just cant decide. Its Sunday already. less than a week before everyone takes off, dispersed all over Malaysia, fulfilling their dreams.
All the best to everyone, and i am still deciding between A or B.

Redang Rendezvous

11/6/2006, 9pm: Gathered at Transnational office and here we go.

12/6/2006, 6am: Its raining at Kuala Terengganu when we arrived. the bus station was very lively with tourist and i would say 90% of them are heading to redang. we waited for about 30 minutes before we had our breakfast at a local chinese ‘kopitiam’ 5 minutes drive from the bus station, opposite our resorts office. then we took a 45 minutes bus to Merang, where the jetty was situated. we got onto the boat then GO! crystal clear water, white sandy beaches welcomes us and our resort is just a stone away from the wooden jetty. we checked into our rooms and we headed straight to the beach. not wasting a second on the island. had a sumptious lunch before our first snorkelling trip. the 1st snorkelling trip was just okay for me. the only fun part was to feed the hungry fish but was bitten by some of them. does my finger looks like BREAD? headed back to the resort at around 4. time was just enough for me to go for a shore dive before the sun sets. went for a dive with my friend and the divemaster at the house reef. spotted baby nemos, trigger fish, lion fish and nudibranch. took a rest after the dive before dinner. slacks around the beach before japan takes on australia. had our hips and body moving with the cool dj in front of the beach. that was AWESOME.

13/6/2006, 6am: 1 phone alarm was annoying enough. what will it be if there were 5 of them? promised to watch sun rise but my body was too heavy for that. woke up just in time for breakfast before the snorkelling trip. marine park was a better destionation with more to offer especially the giant morray eel. headed to the beach after lunch for volleyballs and NONE of us knows how to play! went for a swim after that in the pool. i skipped the afternoon snorkelling session instead i went for a boat dive. its slightly deeper this time compared to the previous shore dive. 52ft underwater this time, i manage to see stingrays, nemos and schools of yellow stripped barracudas. got back in the evening and just in time for tea break. rested a while before dinner. had a stroll on the beach before south korea kicks togo. had a round of beach disco again after the match. 13 turtle hopefuls walked past 2 beaches and jungles to catch a glimpse of turtles but all ended with sore legs and grumbles.

14/6/2006, 6am: Darn alarms! but eventually nobody managed to watch sun rise. i missed breakfast, only manage to grab a few buns before our last snorkelling trip. got back in the afternoon and had our last lunch at redang before heading back to merang. had a nap on boat before we board the bus. bought some famous KT keropok lekor and had lots of fun on bus. had dinner at KFC before heading to KT bus station.

15/6/2006: 6am: Reached BP. Slept like logs the whole day.

Yeah! I manage to log 2 more dives at redang. saw lionfish, nudibranch and yellow-stripped barracudas which i missed at tioman island last month. AND i extracted 1 FAMOUS phrase from a friend - Take Photo, Smile, Its My Turn, hahahahah (with asthmatic rhythm) <- hope he sees this.
